Yes, in some cases we will.  We are currently reviewing standards used in rice, produce, tea, cotton and flowers to see how they could be applied to other sectors such as coffee.  We believe that standards should offer a fair deal for farmers and workers as well as sustainable business solutions that foster greater support for Fair Trade in the U.S. market.

We’re excited to leverage the experience of our Supply Chain Services and Certification teams, which developed standards and now certifies against those standards in the apparel industry, opening greater opportunities for U.S. consumers to generate impact. Additionally, we are now partnering with Scientific Certification Systems, a globally respected, independent third party with more than 25 years of experience in standards and certification.
